Force Majeure is the cumulative result of a five-year design and engineering study on the traditional methods used to manufacture mechanical watches from the mid-twentieth century onward. Many of the core engineering ideas currently employed by all other watchmakers were found to be relatively unchanged for a century or more. This watch reworks those fundamental engineering concepts.
ULTRA-THIN IS IN
At just 0.24 inches thick, the steel case is a one-piece monoblock design that integrates not only the bezel (while foregoing a caseback) but also the entire deployant mechanism. The former provides only three points for water ingress into the watch vs. the traditional five+ ingress points while the latter frees the wearer from the protruding clasp systems found on most all other watches.
AN IN-HOUSE MOVEMENT UNLIKE ANY OTHER
AUTOMATIC CALIBER AVDP.130.LB(R) features a 60-hour power reserve, 2.4Hz beat rate, pump-action crown system, an orbital barrel , Solid Gold Mainplate, Internal Hand Finishing and was DEVELOPED AND MANUFACTURED ENTIRELY WITHIN OUR MANUFACTORY. WHEN CERTAIN TRADITIONAL COMPONENTS WERE FOUND TO BE MONOPOLIZED BY FOREIGN ENTITIES, WE Chose instead to REINVENT THE COMPONENTS THEMSELVES.
IT'S COMPLICATION IS THAT IT ISN'T COMPLICATED
With just 47 components (excluding 39 jewels), Caliber AVDP.130.LB(R) is comprised of 10 patent-applied-for innovations in it's construction, simplicity, durability and manufacturability.

Force Majeure 150R
The Deposit: $20,000 deposit required via bank wire or mailed check to secure a reservation with the remaining $4,950 + applicable taxes and shipping fees due before shipment or at time of local manufactory pickup. Limitation numbers (e.g. 25/75) are assigned by order time and alternate number requests will not be honored.
In-Person Experience: Confirmed reservers and press members will be invited to an early 2026 gathering here at our manufactory in New York to try on the watch, learn more intimate details of its construction/innovation and participate in a discussion with the brand about the making of Force Majeure.
Manufactory visits after this gathering date will be accommodated whenever possible by appointment only. Manufactory visits before this gathering are not permitted.
Shipping Notice: Force Majeure reservations will be delivered no sooner than July 2026 and no later than December 2026. Watches will be delivered in the order of their ascending limitation number (e.g. serial 50/75 will be delivered before 75/75 but after serial 25/75).
We will only ship watches within the United States. To order from an alternative country, you must schedule your own shipping service when notified or pickup from the Manufactory may be arranged.
