Coverage

Avoirdupois warrants your timepiece against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase, subject to the terms and conditions below. During this period, and upon presentation of valid proof of purchase from an authorized Avoirdupois boutique, retailer, or the official Avoirdupois website, any component found to be defective due to manufacturing will be repaired or replaced, at Avoirdupois’ sole discretion, free of charge.

Conditions of Warranty

This Limited Warranty is valid only if:

1. The watch was purchased from an authorized Avoirdupois boutique, retailer, or the official Avoirdupois website.
   
2. The warranty card or digital registration is duly completed and recorded in the Avoirdupois system.
   
3. Any service or repair has been performed exclusively by Avoirdupois or an authorized Avoirdupois service center.
   

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear (e.g., scratches, cosmetic changes, strap/bracelet wear).
  
• Damage resulting from accidents, misuse, negligence, or unauthorized modifications/repairs.
  
• Damage caused by failure to follow the recommended care and water-resistance guidelines.
  
• Loss or theft of the watch, components, or accessories.
  
• Consumable parts such as batteries, straps, and crystals.
  

Transferability

The Avoirdupois Limited Warranty is fully transferable. Coverage follows the timepiece, not solely the original purchaser.

• Upon resale, the warranty remains valid for the balance of the original three-year term.
  
• The new owner must re-register the timepiece in the Avoirdupois Owner’s Registry (via an authorized boutique, retailer, or online account) to activate service rights.
  
• Once re-registered, the new owner enjoys the same rights and coverage as the original purchaser for the remainder of the warranty period.
  

How to Obtain Warranty Service

To benefit from warranty service:

1. Present your timepiece, warranty card/digital registration, and proof of purchase (if available) at an authorized Avoirdupois boutique, retailer, or service center.
   
2. Shipping and handling costs, as well as transportation risks, are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise required by law.
   

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avoirdupois’ liability under this warranty is limited strictly to repair or replacement as described above. This warranty excludes any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. No other warranties, express or implied (including those of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose), extend beyond the duration of this Limited Warranty.

Consumer Rights

This Limited Warranty grants you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights, which vary by state. Some states do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so these exclusions may not apply to you.

Overview

In addition to the standard Three-Year Limited Warranty, Avoirdupois offers clients the possibility to extend their warranty coverage for an additional five (5) years, for a total of eight (8) years of protection. This extended coverage ensures peace of mind and the continued performance of your timepiece, provided under the terms and conditions below.

Eligibility

• The Warranty Extension may be purchased by the original owner or subsequent owners of the timepiece during the initial three-year warranty period.
  
• Only timepieces originally purchased through an authorized Avoirdupois boutique, retailer, or the official Avoirdupois website are eligible.
  
• The watch must undergo inspection by an authorized Avoirdupois service center prior to activation of the Warranty Extension.
  

Coverage

The Warranty Extension mirrors the protection offered under the original Limited Warranty. During the extended coverage period, Avoirdupois will, at its discretion, repair or replace any manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship, free of charge.

Exclusions

The Warranty Extension does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear (e.g., scratches, bracelet/strap wear, changes in appearance).
  
• Damage caused by misuse, negligence, accidents, or unauthorized service.
  
• Consumable components such as batteries, crystals, and straps.
  
• Any work or repairs not performed by Avoirdupois or its authorized service centers.
  

Cost

The standard cost of the Warranty Extension is $1,500. Pricing may vary by model and may be updated periodically.

Activation

1. The customer must present the watch, original warranty documentation, and proof of purchase at an authorized Avoirdupois boutique or service center.
   
2. Upon inspection and acceptance, the Warranty Extension will be registered and confirmed in writing.
   
3. The Warranty Extension is valid only when recorded in the Avoirdupois system and linked to the purchaser’s name in the Avoirdupois Owner’s Registry.
   

Transferability

Unlike the standard Three-Year Limited Warranty, the Warranty Extension is non-transferable. Coverage applies exclusively to the original purchaser who enrolled in the program.

• If the watch changes ownership, the Warranty Extension terminates automatically, and only the base warranty (if still active) may be transferred.
  

Limitations

This Warranty Extension is subject to the same limitations of liability as the original Limited Warranty. Avoirdupois reserves the right to refuse coverage if the watch has been previously serviced or altered by unauthorized parties.
