Shipping Terms

At Avoirdupois, every timepiece is prepared, packaged, and delivered with the same care and precision devoted to its creation. This Shipping Policy explains how we handle delivery of your order within the United States.

1. Shipping Coverage

We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.
We regret that we cannot deliver to:

  • P.O. boxes or APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

  • Freight forwarders or reshippers.

  • U.S. territories (including Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands).

For international delivery, you must arrange your own shipping service and schedule a pickup date and time with our team from our Manufactory. We will package the piece and label it (provided by you) but will not be liable for the delivery process in any form, labeling accuracy or preparedness of the shipment for international transport. Ownership and risk of loss transfer to you upon confirmed carrier pickup of the product from our Manufactory.

2. Shipping Methods and Carriers

All orders are shipped via insured express courier service through our approved logistics partners (e.g., FedEx Priority Overnight, UPS Next Day Air, or Brinks Armored Transport).

Each shipment:

  • Requires an adult signature upon delivery.

  • Is fully insured until the moment it is received and signed for by you or an authorized recipient.

  • Includes real-time tracking, provided once your order ships.

3. Processing Times

  • Orders typically require 2–5 business days for verification, payment clearance, and preparation prior to dispatch.

  • You will receive a Shipping Confirmation email once your order has left our facility.

  • Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays.

For pre-orders, reservations, limited or bespoke timepieces - processing and delivery times may vary. You will be personally informed by our Client Service team of the expected timeline if not clearly displayed on the product page.

4. Delivery Times

Once shipped, delivery typically occurs within 1–2 business days for most U.S. destinations.
Please note that delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by factors beyond our control, including severe weather, carrier delays, or verification requirements.

5. Shipping Fees

  • Shipping fees are piece-specific and calculated for orders within the United States at the time of checkout.

  • For select accessories or parts orders, a packaging fee may apply and will be displayed during checkout.

6. Delivery Confirmation and Security

  • All deliveries require a verified adult signature (18+); packages cannot be left unattended or with building staff.

  • For security reasons, we do not allow rerouting to alternative addresses once a shipment is in transit.

  • We reserve the right to contact you to confirm identity and delivery authorization prior to dispatch.

7. Risk of Loss and Title

Ownership and risk of loss transfer to you upon confirmed delivery of the product to the address specified at checkout.
Avoirdupois cannot be held responsible for loss or damage occurring after delivery has been signed for.

8. Inspection Upon Receipt

We recommend that you carefully inspect your package upon delivery.
If you notice any signs of damage, tampering, or irregularity:

  1. Do not accept the shipment.

  2. Immediately notify both the carrier and Avoirdupois Client Service.

  3. Retain all packaging materials for investigation.

9. Delivery Exceptions

In rare cases, delays or cancellations may occur due to:

  • Payment verification issues.

  • Limited edition or made-to-order production schedules.

  • Regulatory or customs restrictions.

  • Force majeure events (!Not the Avoirdupois watch model but the legal term - e.g., weather, strikes, carrier disruptions, acts of god!).

Should such circumstances arise, our Client Service team will keep you informed and offer appropriate solutions.
